Paola Arce

I’m Head of Solutions at bigspark. My career started in academia, lecturing and researching in computational science, before moving through innovation centres and into industry. That path gave me a grounding in rigorous, first-principles thinking that has stayed with me as I’ve moved into building products and leading teams.

I hold a PhD in Informatics Engineering, and much of my career since has combined hands-on technical work with leading product development.

At bigspark, I work closely with our clients, translating business problems into solutions. I lead the development of Aizle, a privacy-secure synthetic data simulation, and PRISM, our AI assurance platform.

My current focus areas are AI governance and assurance, agentic AI, and the architecture that lets organisations use data across systems and regulatory boundaries without compromising on privacy or control.
